Fall For A New Nail ColorPosted on
What’s not to love about fall? The days are cool and clear, and the nights are long and full of possibility. Plus, fall is the gateway season for the holidays – it’s the perfect time to try out new styles and fashions to discover what you’ll be rocking throughout the holidays. That’s why now is the perfect time to try out some new nail color.
After a summer full of bright colors and millennial pink, autumn is a great time to take a bit of a turn to your dark side. Start by channeling your two favorite fall warm drinks: pumpkin spice latte and rich, hot cocoa. An earthy burnt orange tone lets you go a bit boho while a warm reddish brown walks that perfect line between classic and out of the box. Plus it works with just about any outfit you have in your closet.
Neutrals are a tried and true option for any season, but this fall you can create your own style with a grey-based neutral instead. Look for something that’s not really grey, not really blue, and not really green. For something a bit more upbeat but still neutral, consider a silver glaze with just a hint of metallic. Both of these will manage to be both understated yet unexpected at the same time.
And speaking of metallics, when you’re ready for something different but not too different, metallic plum may become your go-to shade. It’s a departure from a classic pink, and it’s not shy about it. For something darker, consider a metallic midnight blue. It’s shimmery yet dark and mysterious too. There are also some great new reddish orange metallics that defy classification. In some light they’re bright red while in others it’s more orange. It’s like having lava-tipped nails that morph with each movement.
